I agree that bridge contracts are not going to happen and Benn will be signed to a long term contract at a greatly increased salary from his ELC. I believe today a fair value would be 5 to 5.5 million on a 5 or 6 year deal but I guess what I can't understand is how to arrive at a fair value for both sides not knowing if there will be a salary rollback, and what value that would be, as part of the new CBA.
However, Benn will eventually be resigned and I believe he will have greatly increased goal scoring since he will have Jagr or Whitney on his wing and they are both elite play making forwards. |
